La Goura Victòria és un colom de costums terrestres que ocupa la selva plujosa del nord de Nova Guinea i les illes Yapen i Biak. Es diferencia de les altres espècies de goures per presentar la cresta més gran i amb taques blanques, així com per tenir una franja alar fosca.
Les goures són els coloms més grans que existeixen, poden arribar a fer uns 75 cm. i poden arribar a pesar fins a 2,5 kg.
Victoria Goura is a terrestrial custom pigeon that occupies the rainforest of northern New Guinea and the Yapen and Biak Islands. It differs from other species of gourds by having a larger crest with white spots, as well as having a dark wing stripe. The gourds are the largest pigeons that exist, they can reach about 75 cm. and can weigh up to 2.5 kg.
REPRODUCCIÓ: Només posen un ou, el qual eclosiona després de 30 dies.

DIETA: La seva dieta consisteix principalment de fruites, llavors i invertebrats.

A causa de la contínua destrucció de l’hàbitat, i la caça per a l’obtenció de les seves plomes i carn, aquest colom està a la Llista Vermella d’espècies amenaçades.
